AyoPaco Georgia Inspired by the Atlanta trap scene, AyoPaco grew up in the renown indie rock town of Athens, Ga. Known as Paco to those around him, he adopted his stage name after the way most people greet him—inviting fans to join his inner circle. Recording in his home basement studio, AyoPaco released his debut album PLANET PAC in September 2020. He was raised in a Cuban-American household listening to his dad’s favorite music, from Elvis to Sinatra to Led Zeppelin, before turning to hip hop in middle school. After attending his first concert (Fetty Wap at The Tabernacle in downtown Atlanta March 2016), AyoPaco began playing open mics two months later. Coming a long way from first recording rap songs on an old MacBook using GarageBand, AyoPaco is known for clean production, layered vocal harmonies, and catchy hooks with sing-along rhymes that pull in the listener. Up-beat tempos and bouncing vibes lean toward a hyperpop influence. His style is marked by the use of autotune, which he has developed into his own unique brand. AyoPaco’s iconic colored, wild, anime-like hair is a reflection of his animated approach to rap felt in each track. Drawing from his hip hop inspirations, AyoPaco often raps about weed, drugs, and partying with friends, using song titles that are a fun play on drug terms like “ICE CREAM” and “POOL CLEANER.”
