With the preview of The Pact EP clocking up a massive 10,000 plays in 10 days, there is more great news from PACES today with his debut EP out now on iTunes | Beatport | Juno and a 6-date national tour announced for August!
Hitting the coolest venues around the country, The Pact Tour will feature PACES in full live mode (Ableton, MPD, drum pads) – expect to be shaking your ass to a bouncy combination of 808 drums, chopped vocal samples, synths, wonky pianos and harps! Think Ta-Ku, SBTRKT, The Postal Service and Mount Kimbie.
The Pact featuring artwork by Symbols resident designer Joyce Su, features 3 originals and a remix from Melbourne newcomer W1SP. The title track, a ballad for the future-bass generation, features the heartfelt and mesmerising vocal prowess of uber-talented songstress Chela. If The Pact pulls at the heart-strings, then Love You Hate This, with it’s moody synths and stormy basslines, tears them right out, with a nod to Apparat and Hudson Mohawke. Last but by no means least is Ignite which, like its name professes, lights the fire within and spurs you into action, and is undoubtedly destined for dancefloor success.
The Pact Tour Dates:
August 8 – Cobra Kai, Oh Hello!, Brisbane
August 9 – Cats, Rocket Bar, Adelaide
August 10 – Family, Fly, Perth
August 15 – Alpha Beta, The Coolangatta Hotel, Coolangatta
August 23 – Chinese Laundry, Sydney
August 24 – Brown Alley, Melbourne
