Industrial Safety/Security Mirrored Domes. Playful and strange reflective industrial surfaces punctuate the wooded corridor. The project offers an eye-opening exercise in self-awareness and a startling reminder of our inability to extricate ourselves from larger systems of control. Breaking the otherwise peaceful experience in a natural environment, these security domes remind us of the complexity of our global ecological impact. -- Eileen Wold, Square Meter, 2021. Recycled Aluminum Posts. Reflective industrial metal posts mark the corners of implied square meters in the forest to examine the idea of balance between our industrial systems and the natural ones we rely on. For each gallon of oil burned, a square meter of forest is needed to balance the carbon in the atmosphere. Looking at the relationship between that notation and the rate of deforestation which is similar in scale, the posts are inscribed with words that contemplate equivalency and balance.
