Heliotype is a man on a mission to create a new sound in house music. Bursting onto the scene with last year's 'Saying Nothing' on d:vision, and having just released 'Catching Fire' with Anjunadeep, Heliotype has garnered major support from across the DJing community, not least BBC Radio 1 tastemakers Monki, Steve Angello and Way Out West's Jody Wisternoff. Taking elements of his favourite house, garage and drum'n'bass and fusing it with beautiful vocals and pensive string arrangements, the London-based producer curates a sonic palette that has led to the coining of the term 'Balearic Bass'. This is feel good, melodic music for the club, the beach or the headphones that has a distinctive Ibizan edge.
