Im Sprachlabor. onophon spricht oder destilliert Sprache. Im Anschluss wird das Sprachdestillat zentrifugiert. Die so gewonnenen Freiräume bleiben, der Rest imponiert eher schmal. Die Ziertextphonofaktur onophon besteht seit 2001 aus Rainer Deutner und Werner Nowacek. onophon arbeitet puristisch analog mit Elementen aus Literatur, Musik, Theater und Performance, rhythmisiert Alltagssprachpartikel, assoziiert sie neu, improvisiert darüber und unterzieht im dynamischen a cappella-Vortrag die Sprache so lange der Aussprache, bis sie sich musikalisch-rhythmisch bricht. Es ist allenfalls die Semantik, welcher dabei die Luft ausgehen kann - nicht jedoch dem Sprechkünstlerduo. Und schon gar nicht dem Witz. Es entstehen bekömmliche Ziertexte, welche - nebenbei und total onophon - auch so manche Wahrnehmung aus dem Gärkeller der Sprache gestatten. With their first programme 'action poetry' they divested themselves of their superfluous language. In the new programme 'GLOTTAL STOP' the two language percussionists deliver vibrating single word membranes, along with overdeveloped speech arabesques, and they immerse themselves in the linguistic sediment of everyday commercial life. onophon combines elements from literature, theatre, music and spoken word performance. Using a cappella techniques, onophon rhythmizes and improvises everyday speech patterns and submits language to pronounciation until it rhythmically refracts. At most the semantics get out of breath - but not the duo of language artists. And certainly not the humour. Easily digestible decoration texts are being created that - casually and totally onophon - permit a few perceptions from the fermenting cellar of language.
