Karbala by Ola Turkiewicz

I have had a chance to prezent my music propositions to the movie Karbala to the producers. Unfortunately I lost to Cezary Skubiszewski who invited to this project famous and fabulous Lisa Gerrard. I humbly accept that choice, however I would love to share my composition with all of you, also because I dedicate it to all Polish soldiers on foreign missions, who are our silent heroes. We know very little about them, they hardly ever make to the first line news, in contrary to the ethos and praise of American soldiers. Maybe we should change that, but without getting into discussion about validity of these missions.
I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart to the soldiers of the Military Unit “GROM” and to the soldiers of the III Shift of the Polish Military Contingent in Iraq.
