Sascha Rathey, Flötistin im Tiroler Symphonieorchester Innsbruck und Daniel Müller, Konzertgitarrist und Lehrer am Tiroler Landeskonservatorium wagen sich an dieses Experiment und spannen mit ihrem Repertoire einen Bogen von argentinischer Tangomusik, über Barockes und Klassisches bis hin zur Neuen Musik, sowie ursprünglicher Volksmusik des Alpenraumes. ENGLISH: founded in the wonderful alpine city of Innsbruck (Tyrol/Austria), the flute&guitar duo is focussing on modern southamerican music, aswell as exploring the "usual" AND hidden treasures in the repertoire. SASCHA RATHEY, born in New Zealand, grew up in south of Germany, studied in Stuttgart and Vienna (with Gérard, Formisano, Schmeiser), last played in the academy of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra 2008/2009 before starting her job in the Tiroler Symphonieorchester Innsbruck. She is also active in various music-education fields. DANIEL MÜLLER is one of the most important guitar players in Austria. Born in Tyrol, he won several prizes in competitions and was a soloist with following orchestras: Filarmonica de Stat Satu Mare, Filarmonica Brasov, Filarmonica de Stat Sibiu, Kapella Istropolitana Pressburg, Webern Sinfonietta Wien. Having studied in Vienna himself he was assitant teacher of Prof. Alvaro Pierri until 2012, since then he is teaching at the music-conservatory in Innsbruck.
