Rose Gottemoeller, Acting Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security, will talk about open source information and communication technologies for arms control verification and compliance monitoring, as well as recent open prize challenges. This will be an opportunity to discuss and offer innovative ideas on how to reduce the risks posed by weapons of mass destruction. Rose Gottemoeller serves as Senior Adviser to the President and the Secretary of State for Arms Control, Nonproliferation, and Disarmament. She leads numerous efforts to bring citizens both in the U.S. and around the world, into the work of defining new ways of using technology and networks to reduce the threats from weapons of mass destruction. She will talk about U.S. initiatives to bring new ideas into significant arms control regimes.
