„Fantastic sound paintings, uncompromising sound adventures between Pop,
Alternative, Funk, Jazz and Powerful Rocktronic in combination with grooving
Rhythms, catchy hooklines and rounded off by lyrical singing.“
The ORCHESTRA OF ELECTRIC SPACEJAZZ - short OESJ - was founded in September 2015 by drummer PETER PASCH and keyboarder RALF WADEPHUL in Berlin. The two Berlin-born musicians can look back on many years of well-founded musical experience. In addition, they have also played an important role in well-known Berlin and international music projects.
The common affection for their hometown Berlin flows into their music. Inspired by the creative atmosphere, the spirit of reinvention and the constant development of Berlin, innovative and exciting sounds, pulsating grooves and catchy hooklines are created.
The OESJ experiments with fusion-based and multi-faceted elements such as rock, pop, jazz, funk, electronic and today's NuMusic. The unique sound is complemented and accentuated by the cooperation with selected instrumentalists and singers. The result is an exciting symbiosis of diverse musical influences. They themselves call their style of music "Innovative Hybrid".

The musical interests of Ralf were awakened from a very early age on.
His first experiences with the piano and the organ were soon followed by synthesizers that were already on their setup list. He cultivated his excellent playing technique at the “Hochschule der Künste”, where he was awarded the diploma as a sound designer.
He started into countless performances with famous bands, performed in the top music clubs in Berlin, and conducted musical electronic experiments in his home studio.
Ralf came together with Edgar Froese at the end of the eighties.
As a keyboardist at “Tangerine Dream”, he completed a very extensive tour through North America, and composed film music. The subsequent loose cooperation with E. Froese ended in 2010 with the album "blue dawn".

As the son of a jazz-clarinetist, Peter grew up listening to the playlist of the American military radiostation AFN, which played swing, jazz, rock 'n' roll, soul and beat music.
At the age of 12 he was sitting at his first drumset.
Subsequently, numerous sessions and performances followed, together with his acclaimed Berlin bands at reputable locations in the West-Berlin club scene.
In the eighties, Peter developed into a prominent drummer of the Berlin music-scene and performed regularly in “Neue Deutsche Welle” Productions.
As live drummer he performed with Ulla Meinecke, Stefan Waggershausen and the Berlin bands UKW and Interzone to name a few. An excellent drummer - dynamic, precise and humorous.
