His electro vinyl sets led him to his finest moment to date when he won the 2005 Diesel:U:Music contest in the category ‘Rock, Pop, Electro’ in Belgium beating red hot favourites Starski&Tonic (aka The Subs) in a very close sprint… Unlike many of his more ‘serious’ colleagues, Sigi likes to bring some humour and extra energy to his dj sets. He also became resident of Club Silo in Leuven and Petrol in Antwerp. After 2012 vinyl disappeared amongst dj’s and so did Dj Sigi, not feeling the urge to play with another format. FYI He started digging vinyl around 1997 and ofcourse he never stopped… But hey, being over 40 (midlife we presume) and with all the internet radio stations around, Dj Sigi popped up again. With shows at Operator Radio (Rotterdam), Black Teeth Radio, WeAreVarious, Warradio,... And yes, even some nice party bookings. Dj Sigi, the funeral director of the dancefloor is not dead (yet)!
