Developed from Khan's forward looking algorithmic music installation of the same name - the set relies on a vast database of original  beats, melodies, bass-lines as well as vocal units from ten specially written songs recorded in the studio with eleven rappers of diverse backgrounds.\n\nHassan Khan has been making adventurous music since his 90s debut in Cairo, and is considered one of the pioneers of experimental and contemporary approaches in the region. With tabla dubb (2001) he began developing sets that offer unique takes on various genres like New Shaabi in The Big One, Arabic Music in Taraban, New Music in Live Ammunition! Music for Clapping, String Quartet and Live Electronics and hip-hop in his currently touring set The Infinite Hip-Hop Song Live! Concert appearances include: Morphine Raum, Berlin (2024); Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin (2023); D-CAF Cairo (2023); Vega, Copenhagen (2023); Sonic Shaman Festival, Taipei (2022); Centre Pompidou, Paris (2022); Contact(less) Festival MAXXI L’Aquila, Aquila (2021);Maerz Musik Festival, Berlin (2013 / 2017 / 2018); Ruhrtriennale, Essen (2018); Intonal Festival, Malmö (2017); The Guggenheim Museum, NYC (2016); Portikus, Frankfurt am Main (2015) and The Louvre Auditorium, Paris (2012). Khan is also an acclaimed artist and writer: he is the winner of the 57th Venice Biennale Silver Lion, and since 2018 Professor of Fine Arts at Städelschule in Frankfurt. Recent major solo exhibitions include Blind Ambition a large survey at Centre Pompidou, Paris (2022) and The Keys to the Kingdom at Reina Sofia, Madrid (2019).
