OceanSevens W W City By The Bay Inspiration. Aspiration. Two words, entirely different meanings, yet resonating the same results - hope and ambitions. I have often hoped to be play musical instruments, good enough to serenade a crowd or become an explosive dj swaying the entire club. I never got around to that. But that 'maybe someday' persists (Laughing to myself). So to balance that ->I am an avid listener of music, ranging from gospel acapella to trance progressive and everything else in between, whilst collecting some of the best tunes around the planet from musicians known and unknown. I am intrigued by the 'inspirations' that drive each musician to produce their pieces and the immeasurable efforts that echo quality. I don't care about quantity. I pack over a thousand songs on my mac and in my old school ipod (1st generation actually, still in mint condition) and my with my Sennheiser head gear, these songs travel the globe with me - like my very own shadow. I have been to some of the sunniest and grandest places in my life time yet I rather boast of the smiles that I have been granted by some of the poorest and gentlest people. I have spoken to and dropped my pocket change to street bums in the alleys of Manhattan where majestic skyscrapers overcast the streets. I have hidden under palm trees from pounding monsoons in Myanmar where I was offered shelter from the rain in an orphanage. Music gives hope, energy and is always an element that reminds me of the places, people, stories and the timeliness we spent on this planet - that after all is said and done...Somewhere, someplace, somehow someone is inspired to create music and another in a far, far away place will carry on the unfolding aspirations. Perhaps your music was created in your best friend's garage or sponsored by super sponsors - the only true difference is whether it speaks. And little do you know, your music may have traveled with me on my journeys. The relationship of Inspiration & Aspiration.
