Requiem For Damaged Children by Occurrences In Rain published on 2012/07/23 19:20:42 +0000 Guitar, field recordings, various effects... Made using KX and Ubuntu Studios - This piece started out as a set of ambient guitar tracks. These were copied 3 times. One of the copies was stretched to 1.5 times the original length using Paulstretch. One was stretched to 1.5 times the original length using Paulstretch, then slowed by 50%. The third copy was stretched to 1.5 times the original length using Paulstretch, then run through a 16 second feedback delay, then finally through a 29 second feedback delay. All of these tracks were then stacked and arranged. We then added two tracks of children playing on an outdoor switchgear - recorded by Klankbeeld and made available through the FreeSound Project. One of these tracks was processed so that the pitch gradually fell from 0 to 50% from beginning to end, then was fed through a .65 second delay. The other was reversed, then fed through a .58 second delay. Both were then fed through two different reverbs, first a medium sized room, then a large one. Finally we added a track of elementary school children playing at recess recorded by Lonemonk and made available through the FreeSound Project. This track was fed through a fast delay, then through a large room reverb.
