The Walking Woman, It's Raining (disquiet0268) by null66913 published on 2017-02-20T09:27:50Z This is a raw field recording of a walk under the rain made with binaural microphones and an old portable minidisc recorder. I haven't edited anything, it's just me leaving home and walking the streets during a rainy day, under a plastic umbrella, with the binaural microphones inside my ears. The title is a reference to the comic book 'The Walking Man' by Jiro Taniguchi, in which there's a chapter entitled 'It's raining' in which he walks under the rain. I just changed 'man' for 'woman' because I'm a woman. I'm obsessed with rain and I have a lot of field recordings of all kinds of rain. I also love walking, and walking under the rain is one of my favourite activities. This recording is not new, I did it in 2010, but it's one of my favourites because I really like the sound of the rain drops on that specific umbrella.
