Murky Murky, Little Bitch Witch (Live @Rupert 2023) by /___ Soul Venuxx

Recorded & performed live at Rupert as part of 𝗢𝗔𝗞𝗕𝗮𝗟𝗟𝗭 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗘𝗟𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻 (𝗠𝘂𝗿𝗸𝘆 𝗠𝘂𝗿𝗸𝘆, 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵) at EARTH BONDS Symposium, 2023. Music in collab with Kamile Dambrauskaite.

The performance took place inside the site-specific installation 𝘔𝘶𝘳𝘬𝘺 𝘔𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘚𝘸𝘢𝘮𝘱 and contained a spoken word/spell (OAKBaLLZ and EELskin) that evoked the medicine and reflection of the dark waters of bogs, fens, and swamps: the medicine of emotion, sadness, grief, and death. This was followed by a direct confrontation with the audience in which I inquired why they hadn't left any offerings in the swamps for decades... "I only stink because you drained me!". At the end, I sang "Murky Murky, Little Bitch Witch" before dropping down in the pond central to the installation.
