It brings to mind deep blues.

I did some mild manipulations to the main loop (heard at the intro) e.g. doubled or tripled with some pitch spreading but otherwise just overlaid some percussion. I had meant to overlay some guitars and bass but it's hard to match the feel of the original loop, or improve on it.
