HYBRIS - "C64".... by NoOtherMedicine published on 2015-09-28T20:11:28Z A port to SID of the Amiga's in-game music of Hybris. Written using SIDTracker64 on the iPad. This is standard 3 channel 8580 (emulated within SIDTracker64). No samples. SID file: http://csdb.dk/release/?id=141679 The Amiga game already sounded like a SID tune, but with sampled drums. So, I took it back to the SID. Not sure if the original Amiga version used 4 channels, but it seemed to port over to 3 quite easily. Swapping constantly between YouTube (to listen to the original Amiga version) and SIDTracker64 (to write the music) was a bit of a pain!! Enjoy :-) Genre Chiptune Comment by NoOtherMedicine @ola-sundb-halvorsen: Thank you! 2017-12-05T20:38:29Z Comment by Ola Sundbø Halvorsen Great stuff! 2017-12-05T03:23:02Z Comment by Theo Theoderich Cooool, thank you :-) 2017-10-18T23:05:58Z Comment by NoOtherMedicine @pink_abyss: Thanks! :-) 2017-09-07T12:48:22Z Comment by Pink^Abyss The claps are so cool :) 2017-09-07T09:41:13Z Comment by Xavier Louis Tardy This SID chip really has a soul ! 2017-08-08T10:41:14Z Comment by Sidman 64 Lovely 64 take on a classic Amiga track... top stuff 2017-03-15T01:09:01Z Comment by NoOtherMedicine @user-636593461: Thank you! :-) 2016-11-16T19:47:30Z Comment by gruwl Fantastic work! 2016-11-16T18:49:45Z Comment by Michael GIBS great 2016-04-19T19:17:50Z Comment by Boris Köster Cool! 2016-01-27T15:40:00Z Comment by Geo Anas Superb !! 2016-01-10T18:30:26Z Comment by NoOtherMedicine @paul-rush-7: Thanks, Paul! 2015-12-15T17:31:01Z Comment by Paul Rush 5 WOW love it 2015-12-15T17:09:19Z Comment by NoOtherMedicine @user-599625592: Hey. I've been asked this a few times... So, maybe one day! Main thing is to run at 200Hz. It allowed me to get far better definition in the wave tables. Was especially important for the clap sound and snare. 2015-12-15T16:59:04Z Comment by Syshack Hi Jason, this is really great what you can achieve out of the SIDTracker64. Would you be willing to create a tutorial on how to create such great instruments, especially the drums? Or maybe upload the S64 files on CSDB? Thanx for your great sounds! 2015-12-14T22:28:01Z Comment by Darren Nevell This and Battle Squadron are the two tunes I wanted on the C64. I have one and OMG....it's bloody brilliant!!!
