Solid Steel in association with Serato (12th February) We welcome East London producer DrumTalk to Solid Steel. He's had a string of excellent releases on labels like Soundway, Huntleys & Palmers, More Music and Crosstown Rebels and a track on the latest compilation from recent guest Moxie.. He told us;
"This a little trip through DrumTalk land I suppose, hopefully giving some insight into what informs the sound. There's music new and old here. Lots of percussion, lots of bass. Lots of imperfection, very little shine. It features a few DrumTalk productions including the new track that has just come out on the 'Moxie Presents Vol.2' compilation as well as some exclusive edits and versions, an un-released remix of Jungle among them. I've also indulged my enthusiasm for heavy dub towards the end before closing things out on a more serene tip with a couple of drum-free pieces, the last of which is a salute to Mr Bowie, now departed."
