DR BPM Nico Gonzales Vancouver Booking Inquiries: drillyvr@gmail.com DR BPM (they/them) is the moniker for Vancouver based DJ, Event Producer and Founding member of Drill Events, Nico Gonzales. While raised in Vancouver's underground, they saw a lack of diversity and QT2SBIPOC representation within their own scene. With community building in mind, they launched Drill Events, which is their living ambition – to connect the queer community and Vancouver’s underground electronic scene. They don’t take the title of doctor lightly. While on the decks, they are intertwined with the crowd. Each of their sets is a curation of energy and feeling. They guide the dance floor with their vast library, that is hard to define by just one genre. Jumping from dirty electro, to the rhythmic sounds of minimal and groovy techno, to familiar and nostalgic hits from bootleg club mixes. Each set is an unexpected one – and one that is a by-product of the crowd that is in front of them. They are no stranger to Vancouver’s underground, having played and hosted events in DIY venues, bars and clubs for numerous years. In addition to opening for acts such as D.Dan, Anna Morgan and Parris. They hope you have your dancing shoes on, because the doctor is in.
