Niclas Lundin Niclas Lundin Örnsköldsvik Niclas Lundin has made quite a name for himself over the last few years not only in the songwriting world after having over 100 songs released with over 50 of them as singles but now he’s taken the step into the artist world by releasing his debut album Rain Clouds. With his very intimate nerve and unique sound, Niclas has a voice that makes you really feel something when you hear it. The decision to release a solo record has grown over the last couple of years after collecting a few songs that have grown out of going through some of the hardest and some of the most amazing times of his life. These songs and stories feel very special and are all part of something Niclas wants to share from the depths of his heart and to his listeners. The album Rain Clouds has eight songs and they are all very heartfelt and emotional, each in it’s very own way. The title track “Rain Clouds” is a piano based ballad that features the famous string quartet Stockholm Strings who have played with just about all of the Swedish artist elite; including First Aid Kit live at Royal Albert Hall, Robyn and many more. There is also a duet on the album called “Changes” that Niclas performs with one of the most popular Swedish artists right now, Kristin Amparo. Other songs to look out for is “Concrete Heart” which is a more uptempo song with strong hit potential and “Children Of The World” which is a song dedicated both emotionally and financially to charity work. While naming a few songs here, it is really an album where every song has its place and it is obvious that Niclas hasn’t cut any corners with this album. Though very naked and restful at times, even the simplest detail becomes significant, giving way for the very essence and heart of each song. Niclas has penned all these songs together with a handfull of really great writers from Sweden, UK and USA including the Songwriters Hall Of Fame Nominee Randy Goodrum, the award winning songwriter Scott Krippayne and the Swedish artist Andreas Moe. The songs are produced, mixed and mastered mostly by Niclas himself with the help of a handful of select musicians and music professionals that have helped realise the soundscapes that Niclas has envisioned. If you know artists in the likes of Martin Garrix, Dada Life, Andreas Moe, James LaBrie (Dream Theatre), Rick Springfield, Eric Saade, Scooter (just to name a few) you are likely to have heard or will hear songs that Niclas has written. Now the time has come to hear Niclas tell his own stories in his very own way. Enter his Rain Clouds!
