On The Meter - Radio Drama by Nick Nock Hargreaves published on 2016-05-11T19:26:02Z On The Meter is a brand new 15 minute drama, written by Nicholas Hargreaves and Tabitha Konstantine. - We follow the journey of a black cab and it's driver, through three different jobs which are all inspired by true events. Everything that happens, all happens inside of the four doors of the taxi: THE JAIL JOB The Cabbie picks up a tired and drained looking man, simply wanting to go to a garden centre. But The Cabbie increasingly wonders why this particular man, of a particular background, is wanting a hatchet and a shovel... THE JURY JOB The Cabbie respects that he should try to never interfere with events outside of his car. But he realises that this isn't always possible when faced with two young and drunk people, and has to decide if there are dark motives at work... THE JUSTICE JOB The Cabbie picks up a woman who is in a rush, with no respect for him, and no consideration of what his job has been. As she nags out numbers and reports to her assistant on the phone, The Cabbie considers serving justice to teach her a lesson.... - Produced by Nicholas Hargreaves Written by Nicholas Hargreaves, with additional material by Tabitha Konstantine.
