There’s another point, too – pockets give you something to do with your hands when embarrassed. Yesterday, it was snowing, I placed my hand in my pocket to warm it a bit and I found an accordion. I was a bit surprised when I discovered that I was an adept accordion player. I played it on Peckam road and a passer by gave me a handful of coins he found in his pockets.
