Session 1 - Hypnosis session to help manage anxiety by Northampton General Hospital published on 2017-12-05T13:46:42Z Controlling anxiety before hospital procedures: A hypnosis series by Consultant Anaesthetist, Dr. Paul Slater. Track 1: This will give an introduction to me, explain what to expect when listening to the sessions and also talk about anxiety. It will tell the listener how to listen to the sessions, when they can be used, how they can be useful and what not to do. Track 2: This is the shorter of the two hypnosis sessions and is designed for patients to listen to at any time, before or during hospital procedures. It will help patients relax when they are acutely anxious and help train relaxation if used repeatedly. Track 3: This is the longer of the two sessions and is designed for patients to listen to before their hospital procedure. It will provide suggestions on how patients can refrain some of the common anxieties regarding hospital procedures to help develop a more positive outlook.
