The Network Enforcement Act is an act under German law that aims to enforce that social networks take down illegal content that has been reported to them.
At SoundCloud we take reports of illegal content seriously. All users must agree to our Terms of Use before creating an account and must confirm their email before uploading content. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that all reports of illegal content are acted upon swiftly and are continuously looking to develop new ways to prevent the spreading of illegal content.
Below you will find reports on how we deal with content reported to us under The Network Enforcement Act/ Netzwerkdurchsetzungsgesetz (NetzDG). These aim to provide details on the number and type of reports received as well as details around where the reports came from, whether or not content was removed and the length of time it took to respond to complainants.
In addition, the reports will provide information on our complaint procedure as well as information on how we handle complaints as an organisation.
