https://neolectro.com | „Neo Lectro“ is the best known music project of the versatile artist, networker and label owner Martin Hollwitz. He has been totally addicted to music since the mid-1990s – anyone who knows him will have recognized this very quickly. His style was inspired early on by the playing sounds of his Commodore Amiga 600. Offsets of this warm 8-bit sound can be found in many of his works. As a teenager, he built self-made synthesizers and sound generators and collected an armada of technical music equipment. Newspapers reported him when he was only 14 years old. At the age of 17 he played his first gig at the legendary Beat Club in Dessau. Shortly afterwards, appearances in Global Village and Ferropolis were successful. From that day on, things went electronically uphill. His supporters were poineers like Magic Mayer (Harzfein Studios), Bastian W (Leveltrauma), Chip Tronic (Stonedwave) and Albert Schweitzer (10/40). Neo is the founder / co-founder of crews and labels such as freakmuzik (FM! Network), Neolectro Music and TALIS. To bring the crews together, he organized events and festivals such as the Tekk Freakz Series and the Electronic Fight Club. You can’t put Neo in a drawer because he is creating and releasing nearly every imaginable style of music. But you can be sure that his masterpieces are always emotional, playful and vivid. Nevertheless Martin is interested in everything that makes the electronic world go round – that spins the wheels and turns the tables.
