Neill Moore / NEO Progressive / Psytrance / Psychedelic Trance / Trance (Liquid Records) UK *DJ *Producer *Live act *Audio engineer *Sound designer *Music production tutor *Visual Artist Neill Moore is a London based DJ, Producer and Live Act who makes and plays a diverse range of what might often be categorised as morning psychedelic trance, yet you can frequently hearing him playing anything from progressive to twilight or anything in between. He has been involved with the trance scene since 2004 and is a trained audio engineer, Ableton certified trainer and electronic music production teacher in both schools and private settings. Starting out with vinyl turntables and now mostly performing on CDJs, Neill's distinct mixing style is one of a fierce and fluid nature, taking advantage of any effects or equipment on stage to the max and often bringing along additional musical machines to spice up his sets. Alongside that his well recognised rock solid harmonic mixing allows him to captivate the audience with spell binding story telling that is always something fresh and never pre-planned, always feeding off the vibe of the crowd and maintaining the almost lost art of traditional DJing. As a trained synth programmer Neill also teaches a patch design module to his students. Nearly all sounds from his tracks have been self-crafted from the initial wave upwards, enabling him to create unique music that fans instantly recognise and get grooving to. He has also worked and designed patches for legendary synth developers Access and Rob Papen. In the past Neill has produced music in a wide variety of styles, ranging from subtle movie music phases for film, to synth rock remixes which have been slapped on the front of episodes of Mixmag magazine and anything and everything in between. Neill has taken his music all over the globe and has held residencies at some of London's most memorable and iconic venues and events such as Ministry of Sound and the legendary Planet Angel. He has also worked closely with some of the largest festivals in the country such as Boomtown Fair, Noisily and signed to famous UK label, Liquid Records. He has also had the privilege of playing at venues such as Troxy, Camden Palace, Hidden, Coliseum, Electric, Scala, SE1 and many more. On occasions you can catch Neill playing his NEO live PAs where he brings on stage his productions, broken into stems and loaded into Ableton, live Virus Ti and Nord lead synth playing, a bunch of software synths being triggered from MIDI controllers, EFX1000, Kaos pad3, drum machine as well as a load of software effects being mapped to controllers to bring new life and uniqueness to his already obsessively crafted music compositions, written over long periods of time in his studio. It usually takes Neill at least one year to finish a track and he currently has around forty favourites in his latest live set. Alongside this, he also designs movies for some of his tracks and is looking to expand into a more visual/audio experience in the future along with the birth of his own new record label.
