Neil 'Geetar' Watson

Musician/guitarist, Neil Watson has close to twenty years experience as a professional musician, performer and music tutor. He continues to perform and record with a huge array of national and international artists spanning a wide variety of musical genres. These include jazz, blues, rock and pop to name a few. Neil has recorded on over twenty released recordings as a sideman with artists that include ‘The Finn Brothers’, Randy Crawford, and Anika Moa. He has performed with jazz masters such as Michael Brecker, Diane Shuur and Mike Knock along with the entertainers Des O’Conner, John Rowles and Lucy Lawless. He has worked in musical theatre, TV session work and with the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra. Along with his teaching and sideman duties Neil continues to develop his unique hybrid style as a solo artist through varying performances, practices, recordings and line-ups.
