Background & Releases
After landing an internship at Enkare Studio’s (The home to musical geniuses Eric Wainaina & Tim “Ennovator” Rimbui) whilst still in University in 2007. Ndegz learnt his way around music production. He started to develop a unique style and sound that would become the foundation of his productions. He would later leave Enkare Studio’s where he had taken up the post of Studio Engineer and Producer to move to Madtraxx’ newly formed stable “Red Republik”. It is at Red Republik that Ndegz perfected the style he'd previously started developing. With the release of the smash hit "Skamaress" in 2011 which he co-produced and featured on, Ndegz saw his name catapulted into the industry. He would later release his first solo single "All She Wanna Do" in January 2012, which saw the birth of “Ndegz – The Producer, Singer, Songwriter and Rapper
In the same year Ndegz released Lift Me Up – “a single dedicated to the women in our lives that hold us down, and ultimately lift us up” and The Good Life – “a feel good party anthem”. Following the success of his solo projects, Ndegz attracted the attention of KORA award winning veteran Kenyan MC Big Pin, who he collaborated with on the dancehall influenced single “Whine Up” in 2013.
To date Ndegz singles have received massive airplay on major local radio stations, and have gone even further on to receive a warm reception across borders in Ghana, Zambia, Botswana and South Africa. He has been featured in both print and online publications most notably The Buzz – A Nation Media Group Publication, The Insyder Magazine and The Capital Lifestyle website.
In December 2013, Ndegz reunited with Madtraxx and talented vocalist Kavi Pratt to co-produce and feature on a song title “Twende Mbele” dedicated to Kenya’s 50th year of Independence.
