Native-like fluency in English Natalia Tokar I am Natalia, and I’m not a native speaker myself. I got my teaching degree in Kazakstan and later earned a master’s degree in American Studies from a German university…just to find out that my level of English was not enough to solve the real-world tasks. Many language learners are taught to believe that the “advanced” level of English is the absolute maximum, and that getting a Certificate of Proficiency means speaking English “like a native speaker”. Both are false beliefs. This podcast is about native-like fluency and an exploratory practice approach to reach it. It is about understanding people who speak a different language from birth and learning to self-correct your thinking and speaking patterns so that you can communicate your ideas to native speakers with clarity and confidence. You can teach yourself to continuously improve your language skills and enjoy more meaningful conversations with people in English.
