I Was, I Was Feat. Rob Moose (Andrew Fox Remix) by ELLAYO published on 2019-01-31T05:49:24Z The first of three "For Miriam" remixes. In the original, ample space is given to the lyricism and exposed vocal, but Fox has chosen to fill in these spaces by manipulating Ellayo's breaths as well as Rob Moose's strings. At times these manipulations sound like electronic hums and bleeps, but there were no electronic elements added to the remix. "The song was produced electronically, but there are no additional sounds added beyond the source material," he says. "The remix follows a 5 part narrative structure, rather than a musical form, reflecting how central the hero's journey is to Ellayo's work. Above all, I was trying to portray the mixed emotions in being 'brave', to emphasize that the brave are not fearless, but rather overcoming fear." – Caitlin Pasko, Drunken Piano PR & Artist Management Genre Folk & Singer-Songwriter Comment by LA.LA ugh its so F****KING GOOD.
