A truly harmonious collaboration is born with the soul’s recognition of its musical counterpart in another. That’s what N2BLÜ is. In 2016, Jonathan Arceneaux met Konstantin Smorodnikov and the two artists realized about ten minutes into a conversation that spanned the entire night that they both shared an equal passion for similar sounds and ideas in music. That night marked the beginning of their musical partnership. Both Arceneaux and Smorodnikov had loved music since birth and been performing since shortly thereafter. Arceneaux’ journey led him across a broad spectrum of performance, from church choir to voice training in classical and musical theatre, to writing pop/rock songs in high school in Baton Rouge, to moving to L.A. and working with hitmakers. But ultimately, he found his place was in New Orleans, where he met his partner. Smorodnikov was born and raised in Kostroma, Russia. As a young man, he fell in love with computer music production. At 18, he moved to the United States, where he performed and absorbed club music, learning all he could about the technical side of production and sound engineering. N2BLÜ is the synthesis and fusion of each of their unique talents. It is a partnership whose whole is greater than the sum of its parts—a genre-defying blend of pop and dance music, lyrics and beats. The two have worked feverishly on material and have been indefatigable in honing their craft. They look forward to sharing the fruits of their collaboration.
