Archival Revival: The MIDIot Years by myxprojekt published on 2017-12-28T00:30:07Z After learning the ropes of analog synthesis and audio recording, I migrated to an all-MIDI setup in the early/mid 1980s. I really dove in head first, and despite the fact that using a PC to drive a MIDI rig was a new thing, and the software was buggy, and the synth programming was finicky, and there were constant issues with dodgy wiring, ground loops and other annoyances, I committed to it fully. By the mid 1990s I got fed up with all the headaches of getting the rig to work right and abandoned the setup, but for ten or so years, I was a complete MIDIot through and through. This album collects the majority of my recorded compositions that survive from that time.
