Mylittlebrother are best described as indie-rock/pop with echoes of West Coast Americana and 60’s pop.
This Cumbrian four piece master the art of creating harmonious, insanely catchy songs. Swathed in vocal melody, they use driving electric guitars and piano to deliver upbeat pop that often hides a cynical, sometimes melancholic, darker undertone.
They are led by Penrith-based singer-songwriter Will Harris. Will is also known as a member of Scottish band 'Aaron Wright & the Aprils', with whom he has worked with members of Teenage Fanclub, Belle & Sebastian, Camera Obscura, The Blue Nile and many more. Over the past 10 years they have toured with the likes of The Charlatans, Ocean Colour Scene and Eliza Doolittle, and appeared at festivals across Europe including Glastonbury, Benicassim, Latitude, T in the park, Electric Picnic and dozens more.
Will plays the piano/lead vocal and he is joined by Dan Mason on guitar/vocals, Simon Buttress on drums/vocals and Robin Howson on bass/vocals. Their 3 EPs and 1 album have received rave reviews, and gained airplay from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, BBC Local Radio, Radio Caroline and many more, and have featured on BBC television, ITV, Channel 4 and in several short films.
They have recently released 2 new singles 'Love Song For An Island' and 'Cyanide' reflecting their new, fuller sound.
They spent 2019/20 recording their second album, 'Howl', which is out now. They have also been honing their sound with gigs and festival appearances across the UK, including a headline slot on the Yam Riot Stage at Kendal Calling, a performance at the British Sea Power curated Krankenhaus festival, International Pop Overthrow Festival in Liverpool, and a support slot for Juniore at Manchester's Night and Day cafe, amongst many others.
