Musor Musor Musorette Köln Musor The four flautists Gemma Corrales Argumánez, Eva Maria Thonemann, Ekaterina Ryzhova and Laia Bobi Frutos met during their studies at the conservatory in Cologne. United by their passion for music, they soon became friends and formed the Musor quartet. Their repertoire is as manifold as the members and ranges from Baroque to Jazz. In 2007 the ensemble was awarded with a fellowship by the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation “Live Music Now”. In 2009 they won the 2nd prize at the International Kuhlau Competition in Uelzen. One year later the formation was awarded the second prize at the International Chamber Orchestra Competition in Vinaros, Spain. They were invited to play at the NRW-Flötentage in 2009 and the Flute Festival in Wilhelmshaven. They gave numerous concerts in Germany, Spain, and Russia. Musor is an homage to colours as they can be found in nature, mankind and art. The Musoretts bring together multifaceted timbres ranging from the brightest tone of the Piccolo, to the darkest shades of the bass flute, and create a wonderful synthesis of sound. Their energetic performances are captivating and make it very easy for the listener to get lost in this wonderful music.
