TARE-el Biography
Born Terrell Randall Varnes Jr, in Inglewood California on February 14, 1977, TARE-el grew up experiencing all types of family issues, struggles, and everyday problems. He used music as an escape from all the different issues and problems that he was facing as a child. TARE-el was the last of 3 children and he carried significant gifts enabling him to draw, write poetry, sing, write lyrics, and freestyle. TARE-el was separated from his sisters at the age 8 and then later separated from his mother at the age 10. He grew up listening to all genres of music and that's where he learned how to study the importance of melodies. During a rough adolescence, detailed in many of his songs, TARE-el dealt with abuse, neglect, abandonment, poverty, frustration, and personality disorder. Music was a way for him to paint vivid descriptions of things that were very complicated to explain. TARE-el first discovered that he knew how to rhyme at the age of 9, during a after-school freestyle battle. TARE-el quickly put down his artistic abilities and began perfecting his rapping skills. TARE-el soon became known in his hometown of Dublin GA as one of the hottest freestylers in the city. In 1997,TARE-el joined a group called Black Knight Regime and that is where he began to take music a little more seriously. After recording their first EP, the group soon parted because of personal differences, however TARE-el didn't give up on his childhood dream. TARE-el experienced many run-ins with the law and even spent time behind bars. However, TARE-el never gave up on his drive, dream, and passion for doing music. TARE-el started his solo career in 2002, where he took on the name T.R.E.A.L. (Taking Responsibility of Everything And Learning). He eventually went from performing music to working with other artist, ghostwriting, and soon became big in marketing music from some of today's top Rap artist. In 2011, TARE-el decided to live for God and that is where he discovered that God had a stronger purpose and calling for his musical gift. Over the past 6 years, TARE-el has shared the stage with the likes of Canton Jones, Uncle Reece, and Gospel world's very own Shirley Ceaser.
