Mr Pen Paul Hewitt Poole An emcee since 1999 but has listened to hip hop since age 11,released his first mixtape (independently) in February 2004, since then has built up a reputation as an outspoken conscious emcee and built Darkmatter Labs into a recording environment and performing crew releasing over 10 albums/mixtapes as a solo artist and with other artists. Mr Pen believes that an emcee should use his/her OWN voice and use their platform to convey a message or at least entertain the listener. Featured in HHC magazine three times (Homestyle, Demoblaster and the Shady verses competition) and has performed multiple times live in open mics, charity gigs and festivals.
