Janice & Bud Merritt Remix: 12/31/2016 We discovered this tune on PublicDomain4U and tweaked the chord progression and changed the lyrics to be a little less risque and to reflect a woman's perspective. It was first recorded by Oscar Wood who played what many think was the first blues on the Hawaiian lap steel. By many accounts he disappears around the late 1930's while other accounts have him living much longer. Regardless he was a great player and innovator. We set the tune to a Texas Swing rhythm. Interesting Oscar, an African-American, backed up the Governor of Louisiana on several recordings in 1930. That should have been an interesting session!

I had a listen to this a couple of days ago but didn't have time to comment. Never heard it the first time around so can't comment on the remix. What a fun track! I love the way Janice phrases, I might have mentioned that before a time or two :) Good stuff!
