The History of Moon Regiment
The story of Frlfé
Eggnog Woodflake, the Monk
Once, thousands of this day, when the mountains were the home to Gods, when nothing but animals and the elements or wind and water made beautiful noises in the lands, when there would be complete silence under the skies when a man would lie in the grass, contemplating on various aspects of life, a group of people, a warrior cult called 'Ôjnafnazk', who had formed their society and culture through bloodshed and decapitation, grew old and tired of those that set out to destroy their homes and very existence, as well as questioning the very idea of fighting. An idea was formed, a name for peace, art and celebration.
Their people, including the warriors, wanted to push themselves from the suffering and warmongering neighbours to become one with music, art and love. But to guard this reborn society a new, stronger force was needed, to defend against any foe, even the elite. Because of this, the warriors swore during ritual, never to harm another unless it be for defending against common intruders, to train harder, to enforce great discipline, and to help move their entire society to the most reclusive and distant land they could possibly find, as they knew they would be attached eventually. This new band of warriors called themselves 'Moon Regiment', as a reminder of their old ways. As the men grew older, near death, it was decided that their story was to be passed on. And so it was; From son to son, dotter to dotter. Pig to pig.
Alas, the people and their culture, their music and artwork was forgotten. Like most things that was not written down, only memory could uphold. But one day, hundreds of years later, a wanderer called Frlfé passed through their misty, muddy, murky, dark lands.
