The Crisis to Change the World Part 6 - Talk - Soryu Forall - Sunday Sit by Monastic Academy (Center for Mindful Learning) published on 2020-05-09T16:28:23Z 5-3-2020 The Crisis to Change The World Part 6 Sunday Sit talk by head teacher Soryu Forall ----- In this next installment of The Crisis to Change the World, Soryu Forall speaks to the importance of cultivating our trustworthiness so that we can have a more trustworthy society. Here at the Monastic Academy, we do that by training in wisdom, love, and power. Humans today have incredible power, more than any other species and more than any other human in the past, yet we lack the wisdom and love to wield that power skillfully. Soryu also touches once more on the topic of COVID-19 and the dangers of our society's response to it. Are the consequences of widespread loneliness and a deeply held cultural fear of death more dangerous than the virus itself? ----- The Monastic Academy is a training center dedicated to creating wise, powerful, and loving leaders who are an unstoppable force for social and environmental peace on Earth. www.monasticacademy.com We are accepting applications for 2-3 month-long apprenticeships. The training will provide you opportunities to dive deeply into mindfulness practice in community, working, and dedicated sitting periods. The apprenticeship is FREE with room and board provided.
