Their gender identity is some mix of belated queer, Jewish great-aunt, and aspirational Frank O'Hara. They are still figuring it out. They live in Richmond, CA, are from New Orleans, LA, and are committed to queer art, intersectional feminism, being a parent, and anxiety Jamie Townsend is a poet living in Oakland, California. They are half-responsible for Elderly, a publishing experiment and persistent hub of ebullience and disgust. Their first the full-length collection, Shade (Elis Press), was released in 2015. A chapbook “”Pyramid Song" was released by above/ground press in 2018. They are currently editing a forthcoming collection of Steve Abbott's writings (Nightboat, 2019). Lourdes Figueroa was born in Yuba City, California during a trip her parents made from Mexico to the USA when they worked in the campo tilling the soil for tomatoes. Lourdes is a proud 2009 and 2011 VONA alum. Her work has been published in the SF Poet’s 11 2008 & 2010 an Anthology by Jack Hirschman, in Eleven Eleven, Something Worth Revising, Night Music, the zine Mirage, Spooky Actions Books published her first chapbook, yolotl, and her poem War America War was published by Backwords Press.
