Jacque Le Trak - Relative Mass by Mode One Recordings published on 2010/11/02 02:07:20 +0000 Mode One Recordings is very excited to introduce Jacque Le Trak, making his exclusive debut with the storming Uncontrollable EP. Keeping in line with the Mode One ethos of “champion all genres”, this EP marks the first forray into the world of dancefloor smashing Electro, Progressive, and Funky House, and it doesn’t disappoint. Expect more from Jacque Le Trak on future Mode One Recordings releases! Making first impact and setting the pace, UNCONTROLLABLE starts off the EP to great effect. Uplifting pumping pads and synths flow over intricate percussion and effects, before dropping into a bassline guaranteed to put a smile on your face. The pads tease back in, before we are treated to another dose of affirmed dancefloor action. DEPTH OF FIELD follows on nicely, with a syncapated stomping beat, deep pads and swirling synths, accompanied by that all-important bassline. A deeper, more menacing affair, this track delivers a healthy dose of tech and is sure to get the crowd moving. The third track on the EP, VERSATILE, demonstrates, quite aptly, the production versatility of the artist. Funky percussion rhythms and a classic piano hook are reinforced by a heavy 4/4 beat and chunky, rounded bassline with plenty of clout. Male adlib vocals provide the icing on the proverbial musical cake. RELATIVE MASS brings us to the end of the EP with a more minimal, progressive outlook. A track which slowly creeps up on the listener, utilising enticingly hypnotic beats, delicate percussion and an oh-so deep bassline, the listener is sure to loose themselves in the evolving soundscape. A perfect execution of the less is more approach, this track doesn’t seem to stop building!
