MOCO N&C Naoko and Casey MOCO Gothenburg MOCO is a dynamic voice and piano duo that combine original compositions together with an exploration of spontaneous composition, sounds and improvisation. Pieces take shape in an atmosphere formed by intuitive playing and a deep connection between Naoko on the piano and Casey on the voice. Naokos fluidity and confidence on the piano creates soundscapes and and a driving energy while Casey moulds stories in and around the notes, phrases, sounds and melodies that demand attention. MOCO experiments, pushes, stretches and re-shapes the boundaries of their instruments by exploring new and existing improvisational and compositional possibilities. Their music is everything from freeing and harmonic, to percussive and intoxicating, to full of surprise and tension, to soothing and gentle, to crazy and exciting. Consistent throughout is the development of true, heart-felt expression and release, which lies at core of MOCO. Each piece is an authentic, open invitation to the listener to be drawn in and to interpret and feel the music as they wish.
