Initially, it was a song called "Orbital Friendship Cannon" and it had a far different sound than this. I wanted to improve my sound, so I went working with a different digital audio workstation (DAW) to do so; I also created some custom voice work on 15.ai. Unfortunately, during the final mix, things just...well, broke. So I went back to my usual DAW, Adobe Audition, which any musician will tell you, is NOT really ideal for music making, but it's what I'm most comfortable with. During the design, though, I felt a lot of my frustrations come through and the song morphed into this comedic semi-sequel to "La Licorne Sophistiquee" and "Appletrax", so I guess you could call this the third song of a trilogy. Maybe if there's enough interest, I'll reconstruct "Orbital Friendship Cannon" and put it out in its original form for an album or something. Let me know if you are. The story-telling in this is just wonderful, such an amazing experience like we could hear Dashie making music! It was so fun and appreciated.
