Starting out as a musician, Mitch has toured extensively as a sideman playing electric bass with; Russell Morris, Brian Cadd, Leo Sayer, Daryl Braithwaite, Richard Clapton, Ross Wilson, James Reyne, Masters Apprentices, Joe Camilleri. Mitch Produced and recorded the Platinum Certified and ARIA winning album Sharkmouth (2012) for Russell Morris as well as the Gold Certified and ARIA nominated follow-up Van Dieman's Land (2014). He also produced, recorded and mixed Russell Morris's latest record Red Dirt Red Heart (2015). Over the course of these 3 albums Mitch produced a host of guests which featured on them including; Renee Geyer, Diesel, Rick Springfield, Troy Cassar-Daley, Chris Wilson, Vika and Linda Bull, Joe Camilleri, Rob Hirst, Kevin Borich, Phil Manning, Ross Hannaford.
