“Es sind noch Lieder zu jenseits der Menschen” (2005) by Mirtru published on 2018-12-10T10:38:47Z “Es sind noch Lieder zu jenseits der Menschen” (2005) for Oboe, Viola and Harp. First performance: II Syntono International Meeting – Ensemble Itinéraire. Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris. 26 Mars 2005, Paris – France. Dedicated to Nikos Koutrouvidis and Marion Burais. As in some of my works, I begin with an image or an impression from a poem or a literary text as a poetical starting point, in order to generate the form and the material of the work. For this piece the poem that inspired me was “FADENSONNEN” to Paul Celan (1920-1970). MEM FADENSONNEN über der grauschwarzen Ödnis. Ein baum- Hoher Gedanke Greift sich den Linchtton: es sind Noch Lieder zu singen jenseits Der Menchen. THREADSUNS over the grayblack wasteness. A tree- high thought strikes the light-tone: there are still songs to sign beyond humankind. Selected Poems and prose of Paul Celan Translated by John Felstiner W. W. Norton. New York.
