Minor Sore Leuven Minor Sore is a folk and rock-inspired three piece from Leuven, Belgium. The band formed in 2011, when Michiel van Oudheusden urged his girlfriend Elisa Vanderveken to stop wasting her voice by endlessly rehearsing existing medleys in the shower, and instead sing several songs he had been working on since his teen years. With Minor Sore, vocal melodies build on bare and basic guitar chords. A third musician (Philip D) often provides additional instrumentation, such as electric and slide guitar, which gives the music a light country-esque touch. The dark poetry and artwork of Michiel’ sister Katrijn serve as one of the band’s major inspirations.
