(What The Funk)” the song is a tongue in cheek observation of the Snapchat/Instagram Generation that manages to have both a contemporary style and yet a retro feel as it combines live performance from some of the industry's top musicians along with inventive sonic programming. Described by Sadie Nine of BBC Essex as “Brilliant”, the song has already been chosen to be record of the week on Sino Radio’s Drive Time show (with Chris Makey) during the lead up to release and the lyric video is creating enormous interest online. Tony says “This song is a little different from the way I normally write, but I wanted to try and capture a little of the spirit of what’s happening in social media right now and mix it with an infectious and relentless rhythm that would hopefully make people smile and dance” There is an official video currently being filmed and a series of live shows lined up including a special headline, one man show at The Pheasantry in London on October the 9th. Tony Moore has had a long an eclectic career in the music business. He started out as one of the original members of Iron Maiden playing keyboards, then over the years has worked with many artists including being keyboard player with Cutting Crew in the 80's. For the last 20 years he has dedicated his time to helping new and developing singer/songwriters through the legendary stages he has created, first at The Kashmir Klub and latterly The Bedford in Balham. He was inducted into the Music Managers Forum roll of honour for his services to British Music as well as being awarded the much coveted Gold Badge award in 2010.
