Keyboard Tracking A Phaser For Pitch Is Hard by milest3hr4t published on 2015-10-09T13:56:03Z I attempted to make metallic sounds with a phaser, that could be keytracked. It sort of works, but it sounds like ass, and it only has about 2 octaves of range. it was also an extreme pain in the ass, I can't control phaser positions with direct keyboard tracking for some reason because FL 11 can't do that with an envelope controller, you simply can't customize the range in 11. So I had to use a peak controler, and sytrus with keyboard tracking for volume, and tediously fine-tune everything for over an hour to get a scale that's more or less in phase for every goddamn note. PS. min depth and max depth are controlled this way, both identically, with 23 stages. The limitation I faced, of 2 octaves, is a limitation of sytrus's keyboard tracking, and the accuracy of Fruity peak controller. and what's worse is that using a phaser in this way directly sounds like ass and isn't worth doing. but I can re-sample.
