As the world witnessed the release of Black Sabbath' albums, Metallica, Iron Maiden, REM, A- ha, the Beastie Boys's debut and the birth of the New Queen of Pop Lady Gaga... And in Brazil, Legião Urbana, Engenheiros do Hawaii, Titãs, Capital Inicial and Paralamas do Sucesso released albums labeled as masterpieces of the national rock, in the cold city of Itiruçu - small town in southwestern of Bahia, Micheli Cardoso was born.
The childhood of the young Scorpio was marked by intense contact with music, theater and literature. Born into a family, literally, melodic, he was not an opposition to influences. As the idol Axl Rose, Mikeli sang in the church choir and also escaped from it. Hearing classic rock and world pop music in the collection of vinyls of his parents, the young child has matured and became interested by the variety of languages he heard. Early, Mikeli ventured to write thoughts, ideas, poems... SONGS! Developing these capabilities and feeding all your curiosity about multiple topics, the young Mikeli became the emblematic Mikeli Hub.
The harp was the first musical instrument studied by Mikeli. But, through the piano, he discovered his music. Then, he surrendered to the guitar... Gradually, he developed his ability to sing in different genres, including opera. During adolescence, his rebellion found shelter in ROCK N 'ROLL, and thus, they remain inseparable!
In 1999, realizing his dream juvenile, Mikeli joined a theater group with great friends. Until then, the theatre was the only carreer he wanted to follow. In the same year, he began playing in a band of regional music, but he felt a deep need to follow their own path. Later, in 2001, Mikeli composed his first songs and wrote various texts, which marked his entry into the literary world. The following year, he left the band and devoted himself exclusively to the theater, without moving away from your musical world. He continued composing and exploring the mystical atmosphere of the theater, poetry and philosophy, and also the arts, coming to participate in some exhibitions.
It was in 2001, from his first pop reggae - titled "Princípio" - that Mikeli Hub began his fabulous and contradictory history with the music. Many ideas increasingly peculiar permeated his lyrics and poetry. Later, in 2006, Mikeli began to publish his work on web. At that time, the Internet was beginning to pose a new horizon for new artists. From step to step, Hub walked to the accomplishment of his greatest wish: to be able to devote himself entirely to art. In mid-2008, the young artist recorded some music copyright that composing his first EP Longe de Casa. Some songs from his debut album earned him over 100.000 hits on your MySpace page and "Depois do Vinho" was featured in the most important music festival in the southwest of Bahia. "A Rotina Que Domina", "Longe de Casa" and "O Meio-Termo" also pleased netizens hungry for new sounds.
The fascination and admiration for classical music and bands like U2, Radiohead, Coldplay, Remy Zero, The Killers and Empire Of The Sun; icons like Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga and Amy Winehouse... And Brazilian idols ranging from Pitty and Raul, until Legião Urbana and O Rappa, they influenced alternative rock that Mikeli Hub presents today. His hits "Angel", "Volta da Revolta" and "Toda Vida", the standout tracks from the autobiographical album Volta da Revolta are the centerpiece of his musical work. But, what Mikeli Hub still want?
