I first got into Hardcore back in 1993 when mates at school used to bring in tapes that were from the Worthing event Sterns. In the summer of 1994 I got myself my first decks
Which were an old Technics 1300 which had been in the loft for years, a Gemini mixer and a hifi deck (also known to my m8s as the hand-drive deck as it had no pitch control so I used my hand!)
I then spent all my wages working at tesco on vinyl from a little shop in Worthing which was run by the now legendary Krafty Kuts and I taught myself how to mix.
At this time I really got into the Stuff coming out of Holland and Scotland which were being played out at the time by Druid & Clark-e most of this stuff was made by Scott Brown.
I was massive Hardcore Fan and attended events most weeks until 1997.
In 2002 I decided to purchase a new set of decks dust off the old vinyl and start mixing again, In search of some of the tracks I wanted back in 1995 I came across online shops selling old vinyl but also new hardcore, I really liked the sound of this new stuff again the Evolution Records tracks were the pick for me.
I decided to do a few mixes and send out some demo cd’s; In September 2002 I got booked to play my first gig which an event called ‘Gravity’ in Glasgow. Which went down really well, playing a mix of old bouncy techno and new Scott Brown tracks.
I then decided to put on my own event in November 2002 with my lifelong mate Alex White; this was called ‘Panic’ and was an oldskool event headlined by DJ Druid.
After doing this I was contacted by DJ Elmo who was putting on small nights in Brighton so we decided to combine forces and run Vibealive with Elmo & Swampy.
In 2003 myself and Elmo decided to hit the south coast promoting ourselves as a DJ/MC duo where we did many south coast events while continuing running Vibealive.
Vibealive took off in 2004 when Chris Toxic came onboard and we ran many successful events at the Pressure Point Brighton.
During this time I met one of the main influences on my djing which was Rory aka DJ Impact, as well as becoming his ‘designated driver’ he showed me the ropes on Music production and in return I turned him from being a massive freeform lover to a lover of cheese and vocals .
His advice on which promoters to send stuff to and how to approach them I feel were the best bits of advice I was given.
In 2005 I got the ‘Dream Booking’ which was Main Stage at HTID vs. Raverbaby on NYE @ Hastings Pier which was amazing!
In 2006 I moved to sunny Worthing and started up ‘RUSH’ along with my current fiancé Jo and Dj (burger nipples) Reaction.
This was run for just over a year when Jo & I decided to go solo and started our Current Event ‘Hardcore Breakdown’
Since 2003 I have played at nearly every big event and many other wicked events across the country. these include HTID, Raverbaby, Hardcore Heaven, Uproar, Ballistic Beats , Fusion, Fruit Club, High Velocity, Natural Born Ravers, Totally Ardcore, Electrik, Uprising, Cruze-in, Total Bedlam, Maelstrom, Happy Nation, Hardcore Maniacs, Rush, Ultimate Rush, Spiritual Element, Universal Hardcore UK, Mayhem, Firewall etc.
I have also toured North America and have played in Toronto and Pittsburgh, in 2008 I headlined Nocturnal Commissions event Total Request Rave 3 which was the dogs dangles!
